Dr. Angelita Gregorio-Medel and Mr. Kenneth Abante on Completed Staff Work: Principles and Practices

This short video lecture features Dr. Angelita Gregorio-Medel, Former Undersecretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, and Mr. Kenneth Abante, Former Chief of Staff for the Strategy, Economics, and Results Group, Department of Finance, where they discuss Completed Staff Work (CSW) in theory and practice. Dr. Gregorio-Medel and Mr. Abante encourage staff to observe the discipline of CSW for three main reasons: 1) to save time for one’s principal; 2) to improve one’s professional skills; and 3) to improve the quality of one’s decisions. Finally, Dr. Gregorio-Medel and Mr. Abante emphasize that problem solving is really the heart of completed staff work. This video lecture is a by-product of the Bangsamoro Parliamentary Online Learning Series, an Executive Education Program of the Ateneo School of Government, in collaboration with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, Westminster Foundation for Democracy, the UK Government through the British Embassy of Manila, and Access Bangsamoro.
