According to the 2019 voting statistics from COMELEC, there are 2,172,959 registered voters in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, now the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). Voters’ turnout in the region is 73.97%, slightly lower than the 75.90% national voters’ turnout.  This means that only 1,607,326 registered voters cast their votes in the 2019 elections.

In terms of sex, there are slightly more males (50.12% or 1,089,153 voters) than females (49.88% or 1,083,806 voters) comprising the voting population of the region. 

Maguindanao has the most number of registered voters in the region  (652,414 registered voters), followed by Lanao del Sur (493,777 registered voters), and Sulu (376,235 registered voters). Basilan (211,394 registered voters) and Tawi-tawi (210,419 registered voters), meanwhile are the provinces having the least number of registered voters in the region. 

Among the region’s cities, Cotabato City has the most number of registered voters (114,083 registered voters) followed by Marawi City (63,014 registered voters) and Lamitan City (51,623 registered voters).

Since 2013, there has been an increasing number of registered voters in the region. From 1,468,584 registered voters in 2013 to 1,863,230 registered voters in 2016, the increasing trend continued in 2019 with 2,172,959 registered voters in the region.
