MESSAGE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT SECRETARY, REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES

Congratulations to the Institute for Autonomy and Governance (IAG), the Policy Center of the Ateneo School of Government, and the IAG Development Consulting, Inc. for the successful launching of the online portal ACCESS BANGSAMORO. Our gratitude to the Government of Australia for supporting this project.

I laud the IAG for creating this online platform for research and fora in promoting good governance and effective public management in the Bangsamoro. The creation of online ACCESS BANGSAMORO would provide in-depth and careful studies and dialogues among the national, regional and local government units.

This medium will also promote the free flow of information, analysis, and discussions as we ensure the smooth and successful transition of ARMM to BARMM and in mapping out new structure and processes that will bring out more autonomy to the new Bangsamoro regional entity.

Furthermore, it speaks of our commitment to transparency in the bureaucracy as we recognize that data and evidence-driven public policies and programs are the keys to unlocking the potentials of all our collective efforts.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) supports programs that promote transparency and better understanding of policymakers and constituents of public policies that affect them.

Rest assured that we will partner with the leadership and the constituents of the BARMM in bringing better services and improving the lives of the people through such platform.
