Assalamu alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Ateneo School of Government (ASOG) and the Institute for Autonomy and Governance (IAG) for their initiative in setting up an online and social media portal that is the Access Bangsamoro. We also thank the Government of Australia for the financial assistance for the project.

By its definition, Access Bangsamoro will promote the free flow of information, discussions, and analysis for the effective implementation of the Bangsamoro Organic Law and the successful transition to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

The Access Bangsamoro will promote and track the public policies on key issues such as public finance management, intergovernmental relations, regional parliamentary and electoral systems, and others.

The Bangsamoro Government is committed to support this project.

We hope that the portal will provide a significant space for research and discussions that will promote transparency, accountability and moral governance in the Bangsamoro.

We hope that policymakers and other stakeholders will engage in the discussions in order generate inputs that will be beneficial to the transition to the new Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.

We still have a long road ahead of us.

While we continue to face critical issues and challenges during this transition period, we in the Bangsamoro Government will remain steadfast in pursuing good governance in the region.

It is then our hope that the Access Bangsamoro would also be instrumental in pursuit of such noble cause.
